About the College Sree Narayana Guru College of Arts & Science, Peringottoor, was established in the year 2014 with the aim of providing higher education to uplift the disadvantaged and underprivileged sections in tune with the teaching of Sree Narayana Guru. It provides non-conventional job oriented undergraduate courses. It is strategically proposed to be at Chaithaimattom near the Onnukal – Thodupuzha state highway. It has already – within a short span of time – attracted the attention of students and parents looking for an academic excellence set in an eco-friendly sylvan atmosphere conducive to higher education.

SOCIAL WORK

The Department of Socialwork started its functioning at Sree Nararayana Guru Collerge of Arts and Science, Paingottoor in the year 2015. Department starts with Undergraduate program with limited number of students in the initial stage. Now the department has grown upto having highest strength of students in the college. Since 2019 onwards department started Post Graduate program with Specializations in Rural and Urban development and Medical and Psychiatric Socialwork.

COMPUTER SCIENCE

The Computer Science Department strives to be a department of choice for students and is actively repositioning itself. We have responded to our ties to industry by offering focused programs both at the undergraduate and graduate levels in order to provide a thinking and technically literate graduate of immediate value to the community.[/rs_icon_box]

ENGLISH

[rs_icon_box style=”type-3″ icon=”lnr lnr-diamond” heading=”DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH”]The Department of English had its inception since 2014 with an under graduate programme – BA ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE (MODEL II). A very limited number of students got admitted in the first batch .Thereafter, the number increased. We provide intensive mentoring to our students both in and beyond classroom in a wide variety of forums. The department has at present five faculties in all. [/rs_icon_box]

COMMERCE

A very limited number of students got admitted in the first batch .There after, the number increased. Later in 2020, the college started a Master of Commerce programme . We focus not only on learning but also to inspire and put them with all the qualities as a commerce learner.[/rs_icon_box]
